And then there’s the Angel Tree.

Planted in the 1700s, this tree is easily one of the most meaningful portrait locations in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Its scale alone makes you pause. Photographing Miranda and Malik underneath it felt less like staging a shot and more like placing them into something timeless.

The property is also lined with mature trees and shaded pockets, which makes portrait lighting surprisingly forgiving — even in the middle of a Texas afternoon.

We also used Hollow Hill’s Western saloon-style area for first look moments with the bridesmaids and groomsmen (no first look between Miranda and Malik). It’s darker, moodier, and filled with tiny themed rooms — a chapel, a schoolhouse, even a playful little jail cell.

It feels like Texas folklore in architectural form.

Yes, it’s dark in there. And yes, that’s exactly what made the images so dramatic. Some of my favorite frames from the entire day came out of that space because we leaned into what it was instead of fighting it.

That’s one of the underrated strengths of Hollow Hill: it gives you range. Light and airy under the Angel Tree. Moody and textured in the saloon. Clean and classic in the ceremony space.

Not many DFW wedding venues can do all three well.

Once the formalities wrapped, the vibe shifted fast.

Miranda and Malik’s guests did not ease into the dance floor. They attacked it.

From the first song, it was packed — and it stayed that way. Premier Weddings DFW kept the energy high, and the space transitioned seamlessly from heartfelt ceremony to legitimate dance party.

It’s always telling how a crowd responds once dinner ends. This one showed up ready to celebrate — not politely sway for two songs and call it a night.
