Brittni + Sean: A Rustic Texas-Themed Wedding at The Springs in Denton
Some weddings are memorable because of the venue, some because of the people — but Brittni and Sean’s wedding at The Springs in Denton had it all: charm, heart, and a whole lot of Texas flair. We first met them during one of our free engagement sessions back when we were just starting to build our portfolio. From the moment we started shooting, we could tell they were the kind of couple you instantly connect with — warm, real, and so much fun.
So when they asked us to photograph their wedding, we knew it was going to be something special. What we didn’t expect was just how personal, creative, and uniquely Texas their celebration would be. If you're looking for Texas wedding inspiration that's full of personality and rustic charm, this one delivers big.
A Rustic Wedding Full of Custom Details
Everything about this wedding was infused with meaning. From the handmade signage to the personalized touches tucked into every corner, Brittni and Sean created a celebration that felt deeply them. Their ceremony and reception were held at The Springs Event Venue in Denton, which was the perfect backdrop for their rustic wedding vision — natural wood, wide-open spaces, and that cozy Texas vibe we love so much.
Let’s talk details, because there were so many good ones. The couple both wore custom cowboy hats that added the perfect dose of Western style to their looks. Later in the night, guests joined the fun with light-up cowboy hats on the dance floor, which made for some incredible photos (and even better memories).
The thoughtfulness didn’t stop there — both moms were gifted embroidered handkerchiefs, and the couple even had a champagne bottle hand-painted by friends. These weren’t just pretty accessories; they were little pieces of their story woven into the day.
A Texas-Themed Ceremony to Remember
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Texas-themed wedding without a few unforgettable moments — like Brittni and Sean’s branding ceremony. Yep, you read that right. After exchanging vows, they branded a piece of leather with their initials, symbolizing the beginning of their life together in a way that was both meaningful and totally on theme.
And the ring bearers? Brittni’s sweet nephew and their adorable dog, Dixie, shared the honor. Dixie was the ultimate good girl, proudly making her way down the aisle and stealing hearts left and right. If we had a “cutest ring bearer ever” award, she’d be taking home the trophy.
Dance Floor Shenanigans and Late-Night Whataburger
Once the formalities were over, the celebration shifted into full party mode. The dance floor at this Texas wedding was next-level fun, especially when those light-up hats started glowing. One of our favorite moments of the night was their spin on the traditional bouquet toss — instead of tossing flowers, Brittni and Sean launched custom Whatawedding t-shirts into the crowd. Because let’s be real… who doesn’t want to leave a wedding with cool merch?
And just when everyone started feeling that late-night hunger kick in, out came the perfect Texas snack: Whataburger honey butter chicken biscuits. We’re pretty sure the crowd cheered. It was the kind of thoughtful, fun detail that made guests feel truly taken care of — and added another layer to the “only in Texas” vibe that ran through the whole day.
Huge Props to an All-Star Coordinator
We’d be remiss if we didn’t shout out Emily, the incredible coordinator at The Springs in Denton. She handled every moving part of the day with calm confidence, making sure Brittni and Sean could simply enjoy their wedding without worrying about logistics. From managing the timeline to handling last-minute details, Emily was truly a boss — and we’d love the chance to work with her again at another The Springs wedding.
The Kind of Wedding We Love to Photograph
What made this day so memorable wasn’t just the cowboy hats, the branding iron, or the chicken biscuits (though we loved all of those things). It was the way Brittni and Sean brought their personalities into every moment. This wasn’t a cookie-cutter celebration — it was a rustic Texas wedding full of love, laughter, and so many personal touches that made it completely one-of-a-kind.
We feel lucky to have started this journey with them back when they were newly engaged and looking for a photographer, and even luckier to have captured their wedding day. If you’re planning your own Texas-themed wedding and looking for inspiration — or a photographer who gets what you’re all about — we’d love to chat.
